Royal Pop Style bracelets are designed for daily wear and built to last — but like any premium material, they benefit from basic maintenance. This guide covers exactly how to clean bioceramic and silicone/bioceramic bracelets, how to store them when not in use, what to avoid, and what to expect after months and years of regular wear.

Cleaning the Bioceramic Bracelet (Monochrome and Dual)

Daily maintenance — 30 seconds

After a normal day of wear, wipe the bioceramic bracelet with a dry microfibre cloth. This removes fingerprints, skin oils, and light dust that accumulate on the surface. Bioceramic's smooth ceramic surface makes this quick — particles sit on the surface rather than embedding in it.

Weekly deep clean

Once a week, or after exposure to sweat, sunscreen, or perfume, clean the bracelet with a damp cloth. Use lukewarm water and, if needed, a tiny amount of mild dish soap. Work along the bracelet in one direction to avoid smearing. Rinse with clean water and dry immediately with a lint-free cloth. Do not leave bioceramic air-drying with water pooling in the clasp mechanism.

Cleaning the deployant clasp

The deployant clasp has small joints where debris can collect. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush (unused) dipped in soapy water to gently clean these joints. Rinse thoroughly. Dry the clasp open, not closed, to allow moisture to evaporate from the inner mechanisms.

What to avoid with bioceramic

Avoid bleach, acetone, and solvent-based cleaning products — they can degrade the surface finish. Avoid abrasive cloths or pads. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, which can loosen the spring bar mechanism over time. Bioceramic does not rust or oxidize, so you do not need to worry about water damage from normal cleaning.

Cleaning the Silicone/Bioceramic Bracelet

After sport — immediate cleaning

After sport, sweat, or swimming, rinse the Silicone/Bioceramic bracelet under lukewarm running water. premium silicone is highly resistant to salt, chlorine, and sweat — rinsing immediately prevents any residue from drying on the surface.

Regular washing

Wash the silicone band with mild soap and warm water. Work the soap into the surface with your fingers, paying attention to the buckle area and the holes in the band, where debris tends to collect. Rinse thoroughly. The premium silicone material dries quickly — pat dry with a cloth or let air-dry for a few minutes.

Removing stubborn marks

For ink, sunscreen, or rubber transfer marks on silicone, apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (70%) to a cotton pad and rub gently. Rinse with water after. This works on most surface stains without affecting the material.

Storage and Rotation

When storing a bracelet you are not wearing, keep it in its original box or a soft pouch away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Bioceramic can fade very slightly over years of UV exposure if stored in direct sunlight — storing properly preserves the color integrity.

If you rotate between two or more bracelets (as covered in the Build a Collection guide), give each bracelet a quick wipe before putting it back in storage. A clean bracelet stored properly can last indefinitely without degradation.

Long-Term Wear Expectations

Bioceramic bracelets, with basic maintenance, show minimal signs of wear after 12–18 months of daily use. The ceramic surface does not scratch under normal conditions. The deployant clasp develops slight polish at friction points — this is normal and does not affect function. Spring bars on quick-release systems can be replaced if worn (every 2–3 years of daily swapping is typical for heavy users).

Silicone/Bioceramic bands are designed for intensive use and will show slight compression at high-use holes after extended wear — similar to a leather belt. This does not affect fit or function and is covered under the 2-year legal guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I shower with my bioceramic bracelet?
Bioceramic is water-resistant, but we recommend removing it before showering. Repeated soap and shampoo exposure, especially to the clasp mechanism, accelerates wear on the spring bar pins over time. Occasional shower exposure is not harmful.

Can I swim with the Silicone/Bioceramic bracelet?
Yes. The premium silicone band is saltwater and chlorine resistant. We recommend rinsing with fresh water after swimming to remove residue.

How often should I clean my bracelet?
A quick wipe daily and a thorough clean weekly is sufficient for most wearers. After intense sport or sweat exposure, clean immediately.

Does bioceramic change color over time?
No. Bioceramic is color-stable and does not tarnish, oxidize, or fade under normal wear conditions. Prolonged direct UV storage (not wear) can cause very slight surface lightening over years — storing in a box prevents this.

The Royal Pop 40mm: Essential Technical Context

The Royal Pop 40mm is built around a 40mm octagonal case with a proprietary quick-release spring bar system engineered for tool-free bracelet swaps in under 30 seconds. The case material — premium bioceramic — is a composite of approximately 70% aluminium-oxide ceramic powder and 30% high-performance polymer binder. This gives the material a Mohs hardness of 7–8: significantly more scratch-resistant than stainless steel (4–4.5 Mohs) and roughly 50% lighter than an equivalent steel component.

Royal Pop Style bracelets are machined to match the Royal Pop's exact geometry, with levers engineered to engage the integrated lug system without adapters or shims. Three material families cover the full range of use cases:

  • Bioceramic Monochrome — a premium ceramic-polymer composite, available in 10 solid colourways (Black, White, Green, Light Blue, Pink, Red, Yellow, Dark Blue, Light Pink, Light Green) from €139. Scratch-resistant, hypoallergenic, and virtually weightless on the wrist.
  • Bioceramic Dual — two contrasting bioceramic colours in a single bracelet, 5 exclusive two-tone combinations from €145. No equivalent exists in the official catalogue.
  • Silicone/Bioceramic — premium silicone body paired with a bioceramic clasp. Waterproof, sweat-proof, UV-stable, and rated for sport use. 10 colourways from €119, plus a 3-combination Silicone Dual line from €125.

Every order ships worldwide free of charge, processed within 24–48 hours from Belgium. All bracelets include a 30-day no-questions return policy and a full 2-year EU legal product guarantee. Royal Pop Style is an independent accessories brand operated by Brahim Korkdan (VAT: BE0869.820.081) — not affiliated with Swatch Group SA or Audemars Piguet SA.

For routine cleaning, lukewarm water and a microfibre cloth are sufficient for both bioceramic and silicone bracelets. Avoid acetone, bleach, and solvent-based cleaners — these degrade the polymer binder in bioceramic and can cause microscopic surface crazing over time. For silicone, avoid prolonged contact with aerosol sunscreens and insect repellents containing DEET, which can cause surface swelling. Both materials are dishwasher-safe at temperatures up to 60°C. After ocean swimming, rinse with fresh water to remove salt crystals that can accumulate in the clasp mechanism. Store bracelets away from direct sunlight when not in use.
